Merchants: uninstall and it is gone
Uninstall Bloom from your Shopify admin (Settings → Apps and sales channels). Shopify sends Bloom a shop/redact request 48 hours later, and Bloom then deletes your store's record and everything attached to it: ambassadors, click logs, attributed orders, rewards, settings and any connected credentials. No copy is kept.
Uninstalling also revokes Bloom's access token and stops all webhooks immediately. Shopify removes Bloom's two discounts and the theme app embed along with the app. The short links Bloom created for ambassadors (Online Store → Navigation → URL redirects) stay in your store and lead nowhere once the app is gone; you can delete them there.
If you want your data deleted sooner than the 48-hour window, or without uninstalling (for example to reset a program), email us from the address on your Shopify account and we will do it the same business day.
Ambassadors: ask the brand, or ask us
Your ambassador record belongs to the brand whose program you joined. Either route works:
- Ask the brand. From the Bloom admin they can delete you outright, which removes your page, link, click log, attributed orders and rewards.
- Ask us. Email mariano@cats22.agency from the address on your ambassador account, naming the brand. We will anonymise the record within 30 days (usually much faster): name, email, social handles, PayPal email, content, avatar and linked customer id are erased and the click log deleted. The brand keeps only an anonymous row with the order ids that were attributed to the program, which it needs for its own accounting.
If you also have a customer account with the brand's store and ask the brand to delete it, Shopify forwards a customers/redact request to Bloom and the same anonymisation happens automatically.
Shoppers: there is nothing to delete
If you bought through a referral link, Bloom holds the order id, order number, order total and the ambassador it was attributed to. It does not store your name, email, address or payment details. The email on the order is checked once against the ambassador's own email to block self-referral, then discarded. A customers/redact request from the store finds no personal record for you in Bloom, which is the intended result.
Getting a copy instead
Merchants see their full ambassador list and reward queue in the Bloom admin, and can ask us for a CSV export. Ambassadors can see everything on their page and dashboard. If you want a machine-readable copy of what Bloom holds about you, a customers/data_request through the store, or an email to us, gets you one within 30 days.
